Candidates for this procedure are physically healthy and psychologically

long does the procedure last?
The procedure usually lasts 1 to 4 hours depending on the
volume of fat removed.

do I prepare for surgery?
Dr. Bradley will give you guidelines on eating and drinking
and on avoiding medications, herbal supplements, vitamins, and
smoking. Following the guidelines is very important for
a smooth surgery. Make sure someone will be able to drive
you home from the procedure and can help you around the house
for a few days.

What
does surgery involve?
A narrow tube is inserted through a small incision to vacuum
the fat from beneath the skin. To break up the fat layers,
the tube is pushed and pulled through the layers, and the fat
is suctioned out.

Will
I spend the night in your facility or be released after surgery?
Generally, this is an outpatient procedure.

When
can I return to my normal lifestyle?
You will feel sore for 1 week, but you should be back
to work within 2 weeks. Take it easy with strenuous
activities for about 3 weeks, and within 6 weeks bruising
and swelling should subside. Dr. Bradley will discuss
an individualized recovery and activity plan for you.

With every procedure, Dr. Bradley strives to provide personal
follow-up visits to monitor your progress and answer any post-operative
