What
is Ultrasound-Assisted Lipoplasty?
This procedure removes large amounts of fat deposits that do not
respond to diet and exercise. With this particular technique
an ultrasound probe is inserted beneath the skin's surface to liquify
the fat before it's removed. The heat produced from this technique
causes better skin retraction than standard liposuction.

How
do I prepare for surgery?
Dr. Bradley will give you guidelines on eating and drinking

smoking. Following the guidelines is very important for
a smooth surgery. Also make sure someone will be able to
drive you home from the procedure and can help you around the
house for a few days.

What
does surgery involve?
Salt water with local anesthesia and adrenaline is injected
into the treated area and a metal cannula, which is connected
to an ultrasound generator, is placed beneath the skin through
a small incision. The energy created through the generator
causes the walls of the fat cells to break down. The fat
flows from the cells and combines with the injected liquid to
form an emulsion that is sucked out of the body by vacuum pressure.
