Description

Laser scar removal – This depressed scar was a long term result of a mole removal . The Sciton laser smoothed (ie resurfaced) the depressed scar by removing the skin from around the “shoulder” (periphery) of the scar. This removes the step off thereby eliminating the shadow created by the depression. the procedure was done under local in the office and took only a few minutes to complete. The close up is immediately after the procedure. The laser removes the top layers of skin resulting in a superficial open wound. It heals in a couple days using a topical antibiotic ointment much like a superficial burn. The patient was wearing makeup in about 5 days.
